Jungle Village
Jungle Village is an eco-friendly resort at Thekkady. You will be proud to stay in this resort that shares a boundary wall with the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The accommodation consists of 40 rooms, including cottages, rooms, erumadams and tribal houses. There are different types of cottages like Mud Cottages, Mannan Koora (Tribal House), Erumadams (Tree Houses), Standard rooms and Tents.
The erumadams are tree houses and provide great views into the reserve. They are apt for a secluded stay: just you and nature. All the cottages are tastefully done up and have direct access to the swimming pool. The standard rooms have a beautiful wooden décor. They have all modern facilities including television, bed control panels and hot and cold running water.
Mannan Kooras are the traditional homes of the Mannan tribes of the Periyar. It is made of leaves, bamboo shoot and the flooring is done with mud. Bathrooms have all the modern comforts you’ll need. All rooms have television, safe, kettle, coffee makers, mini fridge and of course AC. There’s laundry and parking facility for guests. They’ve easily accessible rooms for the disabled as well.
The multi-cuisine restaurant offers Chinese, Continental and traditional Indian dishes. The resort has a temperature-controlled swimming pool. There are sports and indoor games here. You can enjoy table tennis, caroms, snooker and more. Ayurvedic facilities are arranged for the guests, too.
For those who want to conduct meetings and conferences, there’s facility for that, too. Internet and printing is available.
